Get The Bronze Look Via High Pressure Tanning Beds
A new class of tanning beds, known as high pressure tanning beds, has been developed that enables users to get a dark tan in a short duration of time. These beds deliver much better results and are a lot safer than their low pressure counterparts.
The name high pressure tanning beds comes from the kind of lamps that are used in these tanning beds. With quartz as the primary material used in these lamps, they offer wattage as high as 1000. In a tanning bed, these lamps are fixed safely behind the glass filters. Rays of a fixed wavelength are able to pass through these glass filters which ultimately cause tanning. These lamps contain gas that is filled at a pressure that's higher than the atmospheric levels. It is thanks to the high pressure of this gas that these beds are known as high pressure tanning beds.
High pressure tanning beds obstruct a major portion of the ultraviolet B rays. They only permit a little portion of these UV rays to reach your skin, which is enough to excite the skin pigment cells. Since ultraviolet B rays are obstructed, it's just the ultraviolet A rays that ultimately reach your skin. So, you get that bronzed look without being subjected to any health risks. On the contrary, low pressure tanning beds emit a much higher rate of ultraviolet B rays that reach your skin, meaning the risks are higher.
Yet another positive aspect of these tanning beds is the time they need to give you a good tan. With high pressure tanning beds, three to five tanning sessions are enough for you to get a powerful good base tan. Since these beds do not allow the ultraviolet B rays to reach your skin, the negative effects of tanning are reduced to a great degree. As a consequence your skin retains the moisture and holds the tan for a much longer time. These tanning beds offer a tan that needs less maintenance. The tan got by these tanning beds can be maintained by two to three tanning sessions per month.
These tanning beds also save money and time, requiring a small initial investment to produce a tan and afterward less effort and money to sustain it. Since they also filter out the ultraviolet B rays that cause sunburns, these tanning beds pose very low risk of skin cancers. Moreover, tanning in one of these beds will give you much better results, more golden brown color.
On the whole, these types of tanning beds provide a safe and cost-effective means to tan and look good. They are possibly the future of the tanning industry.
How do I fix high A on my Tenor Sax? It sounds so airy?
I have a problem with my sax that's been frustrating me lately. Whenever I play A with the octave key, it sounds like a million times airier than other notes. It sounds really bad. I try adjusting the placement of my reed but that doesn't work much. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?
Thanks
You could try a couple of things:
Clean the spit out of the sax, if there is any
Tighten your embouchure when you play that specific note.
Since you've already checked reed placement, just make sure that you can't see the tip of the reed over the mouthpiece, though I'm sure you've checked that already.
Hope this helps!
