I suppose we can call it a huigh quality camera.. i imported using vegas.. works fine there.. as well as in the latest divx media player.. but when i open it with vlc.. the preview is pretty gud.. but the audio sounds corrupt.. you hear the first few seconds with the corrupt sound.. and then you hear nothing? is it a codec? which one do i need.. thanks in advanced...

VLC doesn't use separate codecs. If it doesn't play a file correctly then the fault is usually with the file not VLC. Try another media player.
